Megan is the founder and head tutor at Megan Louise School of Piano. She provides a personal approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to suit the individual student.

''I am aware that as all children are unique, therefore so too is their approach to learning. As a result it is necessary to adapt each task to suit their individual learning needs.''

At Megan Louise School of Piano, each lesson is tailor made to the specific requirements of the individual to ensure the best possible results. I offer lessons for recreational playing and also as preparation for professional level examinations from grade 1 through to grade 8.


Sam G


Sam is an accomplished Pianist, Bassist and Guitarist. He has been working as a musician for over 10 years touring in a diverse range of productions across the breadth and depth of the U.K.

Since a young age, Sam developed a deep passion for music and for years has been able to utilise these skills as a composer and performer.

Recent credits include a new adaptation of Enid Blyton’s The Famous Five, Emmerdale and The Great Gatsby. Musical influences include Classical, Funk and Jazz.

He is an enthusiastic and engaging tutor who always caters his style of teaching to the individual needs of each student. Weather you are a complete beginner or an experienced player, technique and musicianship will always be at the forefront of each lesson.

Sam offers lessons in preparation for GCSE and A Level music swell as preparation for Trinity College graded exams in Piano and Music Theory.




Dr Maria A


Maria is a professional teacher of Piano and Music Theory with a wealth of experience both as a performer and a tutor. Maria is currently a Post Graduate Researcher (PH.D) at the International Centre for Music Studies, Newcastle University and is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She holds a Master’s Degree in Art, Law and Economy swell as a BA (Hons) in European (Classical) Music on Applied Music Studies.

Maria has been working as a Private Tutor since 2009 with students of all ages and experience levels. Thanks to the Classical Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue Diplomas she has obtained, she can easily work on the theoretical, technical and structural elements of music analysis to assist her students in their understanding of each piece and score.

Maria’s Lessons are interactive and creative and her kind and patient personality ensures that her students are able to work their true potential.

Maria offers lessons in preparation for GCSE and A Level Music as well as ABRSM and Trinity College graded exams in both Piano and Music Theory.




Jennifer J


Jenifer’s love of music began at a very young age. Under the expert tutelage of Margaret AJ Thompson LLCM ALCM, Jennifer has had the opportunity to grow and develop as a musician over the past 10 years.

Jennifer is extremely passionate about Piano Teaching and prides herself upon her ability to instil confidence in her students. Weather you are an experienced pianist or commencing lessons for the first time, Jennifer will ensure you reach your full potential and enjoy every step of your musical journey.

Jennifer tailors each lesson to the needs of the individual student. She teaches a combination of practical and theory as well as a wide range of styles and techniques.

Jennifer offers lessons in preschool piano from the incredibly creative Wunderkeys Syllabus and also in preparation for graded examinations through Trinity College London.




Tobias I


Tobias offers lessons in Piano, Music Theory and Improvisation. Having graduated from Newcastle University with a Masters Degree in Music specialising in Improvisation he has a wealth of knowledge to share with his students.

Tobias offers a creative approach to piano lessons through incorporating Improvisation techniques and Popular Music into his programme. He believes music making should always be fun and aims to inspire self motivation and the desire to undertake private practice within his lessons. His focus is on creative play and engaging with the instrument in a way which is enjoyable and rewarding.

Tobias is an experienced Tutor in both individual and group lessons having taught privately in the UK and also having lead various group workshops in Spain and Latvia.

As well as teaching, Tobias is also active in several music projects and groups, performing in venues both within and outside of Newcastle.
